Seven Years of Highly Defective People is a book by Scott Adams with comic strips of Dilbert. It was created for the seventh anniversary of Dilbert, and consists of a collection of strips from 1989 to 1995, showing the evolution of Dilbert and the characters contained within. A special feature of this book is that it contains handwritten notes by Scott Adams, giving commentary on the included strips. Scott Adams would repeat this in It's Not Funny If I Have To Explain It.

The title of this book is a parody of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
